PROYECTO GANADOR CONCURSO PUBLICO FEBRERO 2021

Este proyecto de integración de distintos usos dentro del Parque de la Séquia Mare, requiere, sin duda, y más que en otros proyectos, una análisis global tanto de las necesidades funcionales como de la historia del lugar, los distintos usos que van a convivir en él y las estrategias socioculturales que pretende abrazar, uniendo pasado y futuro, conocimiento del medio, usos deportivos, culturales y proyección turística, todo en uno.

Es por este motivo por el que, en el equipo de trabajo, hemos entendido necesario incluir desde la génesis del mismo a un equipo de arqueología especialistas en patrimonio hidráulico y sociólogos que ayuden a que la intervención entienda y pueda dar respuestas todos los planteamientos requeridos.

El parque de la Séquia Mare entendido como pulmón verde que actuará de transición entre el Benidorm actual y el Benidorm futuro que se originará con los futuros desarrollos urbanísticos previstos hacia el noreste, requiere de una intervención con un edificio que no sea edificio, que se distinga y actúe como polo de atracción pero que a su vez pase desapercibido.  Es por ello por lo que hemos procurado una integración máxima del edificio con el medio.

En una parcela sensiblemente plana, hemos forzado las cotas del terreno para poder encajar un edificio de naturaleza claramente tectónica, con una planta semienterrada, donde los usos públicos (comedor, Centro de Interpretación) que se relacionan directamente con la cota cero mientras que la zona destinada al alojamiento se eleva para dotarla de la privacidad requerida.

Nuestro edificio encaja en el terreno como una cuña, modificamos la topografía colindante lo mínimo, apenas 1 m más o menos sobre el terreno existente de modo que nos posibilite desarrollar un edificio en planta baja cuya cubierta pasa a formar parte de los recorridos peatonales del parque.

This project integrates different uses within the Parque de la Séquia Mare, undoubtedly requires, and more than in other projects, a global analysis of both the functional needs and the history of the place, the different uses that will coexist and the sociocultural strategies that the building intends to embrace, uniting past and future, knowledge of the environment, sports and cultural uses and tourist projection, all in one.

For this reason we have been working with an  archeology team specialists in hydraulic heritage and sociologists who help the intervention to understand and be able to give answers to all the required approaches.

We understand he Séquia Mare Park as a green lung that will act as a transition between the current and the future Benidorm that will originate with the future urban developments planned towards the northeast.  It requires an intervention with a building that has  not to be a building, it has to be distinguished and act as a pole of attraction but at the same time go unnoticed. That is the reason why we have sought maximum integration of the building with the environment.

On a significantly flat plot, we have forced the ground levels to fit in a building of a clearly tectonic nature, with a semi-buried floor, where public uses (dining room, Interpretation Center) are directly related to ground zero while the area destined to the accommodation rises to provide it with the required privacy.

Our building fits into the terrain like a wedge, we modify the adjoining topography the least, just 1 m approximately  on the existing terrain so that it allows us to develop a building on the ground floor whose roof becomes part of the pedestrian paths of the park .
